Hola Familia y Amigos! So, I know I say this every week, but this week is a miracle week! We received many blessings from Heaven this week, one of the greatest of which has been the opportunity to teach some of Heavenly Father's precious children and help them come unto Christ, some of them for the first time, and some of them again after they've wandered far away for a long time.  This week we've been blessed to work closely with a very special family named the Reguenes family. We first found them a few weeks ago, almost a month, and they were just some names on a list we went to go see. When we first came to their door, Brother Reguenes, who is an inactive member, was sitting out on his front porch smoking a cigarette, and when we came up to him, he happily said, "oh hey guys! Sorry let me just go in and zip up my pants I didn't expect y'all! You caught me on my smoke break!" And proceeded to go inside, zip up his pants, put out his cigarette, a...

Hola Familia y Amigos! This week has been quite a whirlwind! It's flown by and had a lot of ups and downs. But it's been filled with heavenly light and blessings as every week is! The Lord really has blessed us to be guided by the Spirit this week in many instances. Here are just a few: This week I got a letter from my mom & family in the mail. In it there were a few lines thrown in about a story about a sister missionary who promised Heavenly Father that she would talk to everyone in a green shirt and had a lot of success that way. I thought that was super awesome, so I turned to my comp and said that we should pick a color shirt to talk to this week! We both had the thought to choose purple, so we decided that this week we would talk to everyone we saw wearing a purple shirt. A little later, we were walking to the car & I had a thought that we should go talk to a family I saw walking, so we went to go talk to them and ended up following them into the grocery store...

Rachelle at her first Zone Conference Hola Familia y Amigos! This week has been a full one! Just like every week as a missionary, haha, there is no shortage of things to do! Right now my companion and I are the only missionaries covering an area that covers an hour of driving distance. There used to be 22 missionaries in this ward alone, to cover the entire area, and now it's just us two. The ward has over 900 people on the ward records, but only about 110 people attending church every  Sunday , so there is A LOT of work to be done! But I am excited and optimistic about what is ahead. We made a lot of progress this week in figuring out the direction we need to go with the work in order to strengthen this ward, which is great! I am starting to develop such a great love for the members here and the people we teach. There are so many people here with such great faith and such great strength it astounds me. We have made some visits to members who are going through some of the wors...

Sister Clarke with her trainer, Sister Riley Looks like a district lunch? I am told from other missionaries who have served in the McAllen mission that they are allowed only an hour to be on the computer each week. For part of that time, Rachelle is required to write to her mission president, which leaves little time to read and respond to emails. You will see that in her emails home, she doesn't include many details, which means, I think, that she is pressed for time. She did mention that she would love to receive printed letters in the mail as she is allowed to read those in the evenings throughout the week. Her physical address is  Sister Rachelle Clarke 1900 Coffeeport Rd. Apt. D-5 Brownsville ,  TX 78521 Sister Clarke did send a couple of pictures this week, but there are no explanations. You will notice that the Sisters in her mission are required to wear pants instead of dresses. This is because there have been reported cases of Zika in her ...
