¡Hola Familia y Amigos! So sorry for the lack of an email last week. It was a crazy week with unique challenges, but great all the same! This week was great as always! We saw many miracles. This week was absolutely full of ups and downs but in reality, there are so many good things happening in our area. It's definitely a unique area with unique challenges, but it really is special to be here!  This week I've just seen how the Spirit guides us. This is something I've seen continually in my mission and something that continued to impress me this week, was that the Spirit is always speaking to us if we will just listen! We have been guided and our words have been given to us by the Spirit in the very moment we needed them.  This week I've also been amazed at the perspective the Plan of Salvation gives us. I've learned that when we are teaching people, our job is to find their spiritual reset button and push it, because we aren't teaching them anything new ...

From Mom: We had a wonderful hour-long Skype with Rachelle for Mother's Day yesterday. She looks beautiful and healthy, and she LOVES being a missionary. She reported that she and Sister Riley are working so hard in this huge area that used to have multiple sets of missionaries in it. She said that Sister Clarke is just so loving to the entire ward and to those she teaches. She mentioned specifically that she is extremely patient and that she has the most lovely demeanor. What a sweet phone call to get on Mother's Day Weekend. But mostly, I am grateful for the blessing Rachelle has to serve a mission. And what a blessing for us to watch her grow and become stronger ...

From left to right: Sister Riley, Sister Clarke, Yasmin Reguenes (on her baptism day), Brother Reguenes (recently reactivated), their daughter, and a brother from the ward who performed the baptisms. Yasmin's Baptism! ¡Hola Familia y Amigos! This week was a wonderful and special week! It was filled with miracles. I got to eat octopus for the first time this week (what an interesting experience), and the tarantulas are starting to come out in full force for the summer! It's been an exciting week! Tarantula! Eating octopus for the first time! (Looks like chocolate covered pretzels.) She did actually eat it, she says. Yasmin Reguenes was baptized yesterday at 3! It was a beautiful experience! The ward came together beautifully to support her and her family. Her baptism has been a long time coming! And her family and our ward happy were so happy to see her take that beautiful step. Sister Riley and I were able to sing Yasmin's favorite so...
