Brownsville, Letter 21 (No letter last week)

Image
Hola Todos!!! Again, I apologize for not writing an email last week. It looks like I am now the queen of emergency transfers! My incredible compaƱera, la Hermana Hale, went home last week, and now I have a new incredible compaƱera, la Hermana Jamile!! Best part - she is from Hawaii! We have a BLAST together. We definitely almost went to Mexico this week. We live like 10 minutes from Matamoros, and we were driving and almost missed a turn, and realized if we had missed it we would've hit the bridge to Mexico, and there would've been no turning back...!!! Part of me wonders what our tiwi (car monitor) would do if we accidentally went to Mexico. Hahaha. Good thing we didn't actually find out!  Times are good, and we've seen tons of miracles! I feel super blessed to be her companion, even though we will only be companions for two weeks total, because next week is transfers.... and I'm being transferred!!! I don't know where yet, but I do know that wherever i...

One of the most delightful letters yet. Enjoy! _________________________________________________________________________________ Sister Clarke with her Greenie, Sister Hale (whom she calls her "long lost sister, best friend, and example") ¡Hola Familia y Amigos! So, it seems the longer I am out here, The last time I have to write emails and write things down! These last two weeks have been a blur, but have been some of the best weeks of my entire mission. We have seen so many miracles, and have followed the spirit to bless people. My testimony is growing tremendously every day. Training is absolutely a blast, especially when your companion is your long lost sister, best friend and example!!! I am coming to a startling realization:  tomorrow  is my 6 month mark in the mission! I am a 3rd of the way through my mission. I have learned many things, #1 being that 18 MONTHS IS NOT LONG ENOUGH!!! Every single day out here I wish there was more time. There is simp...

This week, we were allowed to chat with Rachelle via Google Hangouts. We learned that after the flood, they were given a new apartment that is right across the street from the border between Mexico and the U.S. Sister Clarke LOVES her new companion, Sister Hale, and she is really enjoying training, even though she says it is a big responsibility. Below are a few highlights from this week's chat. You can scroll through them to read more.
