The AP's (left), President and Sister OCampo and kids (middle), the STLT's (right) on the day the new president arrived in the mission. Lots of pictures this week! Rachelle's P-Day was Saturday this week, and we had a fun time talking to her about all the exciting events of the past seven days. Most of it was centered around the transition with her mission president. Here's a recap of what she said: Rachelle had her final interview with President Torres on Tuesday, and she said that it was one of the most meaningful and spiritual experiences of her life. I won't put the details down here, but she is very grateful for the time she has had to spend with him.  On Thursday, the new mission president, President OCampo and his family, arrived in McAllen. The next day, The Torres family left. Rachelle got to take the Torres family to the airport, and she said it was so sad to say goodbye. The rest of the day, Rachelle and the other STLT's and AP'...

Baptism of Hermano Falcon, Sr.  Quick updates this week: Hermano Falcon (recent convert and assistant ward mission leader, left) baptized his father, Hermano Falcon, Senior this week. Rachelle has loved working with this family and teaching them, and the Falcons really wanted to be ready for baptism before Rachelle left for home. That was the goal. Goal achieved! She says that the baptism was so awesome because another set of missionaries filled the font for them and accidentally locked the door. So when Brother Falcon and his dad tried to enter the font, they couldn't get in. Brother Falcon, determined, gracefully hopped over the glass from the front and landed in the water just to be sure that the baptismal service would proceed. Thanks to his agility, he was able to baptize his father that day. His daughter, Andre (in black), a recent convert, was there as well to watch and support. The sisters made a chocolate cake for Hermano Falcon, Senior after the baptism, and he s...

The baptism of Jessica Robles and her four children 6/16/19 Updates this week from Rachelle: Jessica Robles's baptism with her four kids. This has been a miracle story. Jessica Robles (Jessica #2 from far back posts) had been regularly attending church a few months back. She accepted a date for baptism, but during the interview she admitted that she was not completely over her smoking habit yet. So the baptism of the family was delayed while Jessica worked to quit smoking for good. Then, through a series of unfortunate events, Rachelle and her companion lost track of the family. Just two weeks ago, the sisters followed an impression to go down a certain street and stop to talk to some people they saw in the front yard of their home. When the missionaries introduced themselves, the lady walked to her front door, opened it, and yelled, "Jessica. Are these the girls you were talking about?" It turned out that Jessica was visiting her friend that day--the very frie...

Angel, Andrea, and Sarahi's baptism Hola buenas! Sorry everyone! I haven't written a weekly for 6 weeks but sister Drury said I had to write one and tell everyone how cool she is. Jajajajaa. So here we are!! I am just kidding. Since the beginning of last transfer, things have been so crazy around here, even p days are packed! We are prepping our presentation for Mission Leadership Council again tomorrow! So that's going to be fun. We are also helping President Torres get ready to go back to Honduras. Taking him to the airport is going to be the saddest moment of my mission.   I cannot wait to see where President Torres goes with his life. He had changed my life forever and I'd never trade anything for the opportunity I have had here to work with him and serve with him. The mission is a dream everyone! I am starting my last transfer and the last thing I want to do is leave. I love this people so much. They are everything for me. Their kindness, their cu...
