The baptism of Bethaisda, daughter of Brother and Sister Pecina, two recently-reactivated members. Betsy and the ministering brother who baptized her.  No email this week. Just a few fun tidbits from her chat with the family: They had another baptism this week. Bethaisda is her name, but she goes by Betsy. She is 11, and she is the daughter of a mother and father that they worked to reactivate. Rachelle just loves her. The ministering brother baptized the little girl, and the father gave the baptism talk. At first, the father refused because he felt too inadequate with words, but then he came around, and Rachelle says it was the sweetest talk and that the spirit was there. Rachelle says that she and her companion took time this week to write thank you notes to all the ward members who have helped them with the work because there are so many people who have done so much from going on visits with them to helping arrange baptisms to fellowshipping investigators to ...

Hermana Clarke, Hermana Richardson, Andre Falcon, and Tomas Falcon on the day he was ordained to the Aaronic Priesthood: 1/20/19 Buenas, This week has been another wonderful week! We have seen lots of miracles. Hermano Tomás Falcón was ordained to the Aaronic Priesthood this Sunday!!! That was such a happy occasion! We are so so so happy for Hermano Falcon. He is ready to serve and to support the ward. He is such a good example of gospel learning and desire for progress because he loves to study the gospel. He asks us what we are going to teach the next lesson so that he can study up on it first and become prepared. His table is always filled with pamphlets and scriptures and notebooks when we come over.   I admire him so much!  Jessica's son Brandon now has a baptismal date for February! We were walking down the street and happened to see him at his friends house playing football. We hadn't been able to talk to him in a while, and it was a miracle that we ...

The baptism of Gaby Galvan on 1/13/19 with Hermana Richardson Buenas, This week was another miracle filled week!!! Here are some highlights of this past week: 1. Gaby Galvan got baptized and confirmed this weekend! She is so Christlike and such a good example of humility and love and willingness to follow the Savior. Her daughter Brittney is a future missionary for sure! She tried on my tag and Gaby got all teary eyed. It was so, so sweet. I love her and we were SO happy for her to take this wonderful step! Her family all came, as well as her nonmember fiancee. So we see some real incredible potential in that family! What a wonderful day for them! 2. Uriel Lara got ordained to the priesthood on Sunday. He and his wife Marifer came to church, and they were both so so excited. They were announcing other ordinations, and Marifer was nudging Uriel and they had the biggest smiles on their faces. I don't think I have ever felt so full of pure joy a...

Hello everyone!!! I am really bad at writing weekly emails.  I know.  I need to get better.  But this week I have a lot of miracles to share with y'all.  Every day here in the mission is an absolute miracle.  But here are some miracles we have seen in the past few weeks:  A few Sundays ago, we were blessed to bring 9 investigators to church, almost all of which had baptismal dates!  It was wonderful to see our ward chapel full of strong members and also strong investigators - and to see the wonderful interactions between the two.  Our ward is great at fellowshipping the people who are learning about the church.  I believe this ward is going to need to split soon at the rate it's going - there are too many strong new converts who need callings, and too many strong priesthood holders!  What a problem to have, huh?  We have been blessed to see many investigators come to church since then, but I think 9 at church is a...
