¡Hola Familia y Amigos!
This week has been quite a ride! My area is the best. We have been taking so many bike days, so I'm getting quite a nice farmer's tan, for the first time in my life. :D! Biking in 100 degrees every day is really one of the daily miracles we see in the mission! Haha. I love biking because we get to talk with everyone! We have definitely had some wierd encounters with people on the streets. We are still right on the Mexican border, so we see a lot of crazy things, especially on bikes, and that's super fun. Haha! I am eating so much carne and arroz and frijoles I don't know what to do with myself. But it's the beauty of being in Mexicito :D
We've had some wonderful teaching experiences. One thing I have experienced this week is the edifying power of the Spirit. I have seen the miracle of the phrase, "whom the Lord calls, He qualifies." Missions are by no means easy. There are endless demands. But I have seen how God has answered the prayers of both my companion and I this week, and gave us capabilities that are so much more than our own. The gift of tongues is real, and so are angels. I'm glad to know that my Savior understands me and that He helps us in this great work.
I love you all! More to come next week!
Love,
Hermana Clarke
