Mercedes, Letter #4

She says he's very loud and very competitive when it comes to volleyball! She also says he's a spiritual giant. What a great combination.

Hola family and friends!

This week God gave us a total tender mercy.

We have an awesome ward here in Mercedes, and so I've really wanted to find a bunch of people for them to fellowship! I was just trying to help us do everything we can to find investigators and people who were ready. We were finding some, God was for sure blessing us, but none of them were super fuego--on fire. And so I was pushing and pushing and making Sister Nieves talk to everyone and we were just talking to everyone. And then God decided to be so merciful to us.

And he just gave us this incredible family as a referral. The mom of the family has a mother who converted and passed away shortly after. The daughter could see that her mom had so much peace because of the temple and her conversion, and so she wants to understand what her mom had.

So we taught them, and they all came to church yesterday, and the ward was INCREDIBLE to them!!! They stayed all 3 hours, and it was such an incredible three-hour block. Fast Sunday with testimonies, and then the classes were great. The entire ward is doing a fast for a lady with cancer, so the third hour relief society and priesthood got together to talk about how to help this one woman. And at the end everyone knelt and said a prayer together, and the Spirit was SO STRONG.

The ward is fellowshipping this family so well! It was seriously so special. It was literally just a tender mercy. THIS WARD IS SO AMAZING I never want to leave!!!!! I love speaking Spanish!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE Mexicans!!!!!! They are teaching me how to sing their songs and dance with the big skirts hahaha. Pray for the familia Ortiz.
