Hola todos,
It's been a while since I've sent out a weekly. My apologies! But lots has changed here and exciting things are happening!
The weather here is finally really really changing - instead of 100 degrees and 100% humidity, it's now one word - FREEZING. The November weather is hitting and it is for sure sweater weather!!! It's one thing to be in the cold but have it be dry - the cold here is humid and so it just freezes your bones. I've never had to bundle up so much to be warm! Haha. But we are getting ready for the Christmas season and that is so so exciting! I love the Christmas spirit and everything! It's an exciting change and such an exciting time to help others to learn about Christ.
So this week Stephanie Garcia was baptized and confirmed a member of the true church of Jesus Christ! Her mom and her brother were recently baptized, but it wasn't until now that she decided to follow her family into the waters of baptism. She glowed after her confirmation, and she is so happy! It was so fun to watch her take that step.
This weekend we have 4 more baptisms planned, from 3 different families! Something funny about the mission is that when we just do our best, we just have to sit back and watch God do all the work. He is really the one that changes people's hearts. That was the case with Uriel, who has been going to church with his wife for 7 years and until now he has never accepted the invitation to be baptized. It was God who changed his heart and helped him decide to be baptized and to know that he was ready. We have seen so many miracles here and I am so excited to see more with God's guidance and love.
Missions are total miracles. I love you all so much!!!
See you next week!
